Nathan Brannon was commissioned by Alexander Hughes through Twine for his project “Kiri,” a captivating comic book narrative inspired by the Blade Runner/Cyberpunk genre. Nathan’s task was to compose a musical theme that would not only enhance but also vividly bring to life the unique world-building elements of this story. The creative journey was both thrilling and rewarding, involving an innovative integration of advanced digital instruments like Nexus2 and Kontakt, complemented by authentic guitars and drum sounds. The outcome was a meticulously crafted, dark and futuristic Hip-Hop cinematic piece, reminiscent of the legendary composers Hans Zimmer and Ludwig Göransson. Overall the work was met with high praise from Alexander, reflecting the project’s success and the fulfilment of its creative vision.
