About Score

Nathan created an original musical score inspired by the renowned theatre composer Philip Glass. His aim was to capture the iconic feel and distinctive style of Glass's musical works, blending traditional orchestral instruments with electronic elements.

The composition features a rich and textured soundscape, skilfully utilising continuous arpeggios and repetitive patterns to enhance its minimalist texture. Inspired by Glass's stylistic approaches, Nathan incorporated specific instruments and musical elements, including strings, brass, woodwinds, keyboards, and synthesizers.

The piece is structured into distinct sections, including an introductory section, build-up phase, chorus, transition section, drop-down section, and outro. Notable moments include the use of repetitive structures and motifs, layering multiple musical lines and rhythmic patterns, and subtle variations in tempo and instrumentation.

Throughout the composition, Nathan seamlessly integrates orchestral libraries, Glass's renowned piano and synth pads, and electronic elements, crafting a work that epitomizes Philip Glass's distinctive minimalism. The piece is perfectly suited for theatrical use, reflecting Glass's artistic signature and evoking a sense of hypnotic meditation.
